By YourAISoft Team · Prices checked on 7 October 2026

AI visibility tools send buyer-style questions to ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google’s AI answers, then count how often your brand is named or cited. We compared 13 on 7 October 2026: entry prices run from $0 to $800 a month.

Quick answer: for most teams, SE Visible covers the most for the money: 200 prompts on five AI platforms for $99 a month, with a 10-day free trial. On a budget, Otterly.AI starts at $29. Writesonic adds AI articles and site audits, but its brand plans track three platforms below Enterprise. Already on Semrush or Ahrefs? Price their add-ons first.

AI visibility tracking tools compared: prices, platforms, trials

Prices checked on 7 October 2026 on each vendor’s site, in US dollars per month unless marked. AIO stands for Google AI Overviews.

The order weighs platforms and answers on the entry plan first, then a no-card trial and refund terms, then built-in content tools. Writesonic ranks third for its no-card trial, 7-day refund and built-in content tools; on platforms and answers alone it would sit lower.

Quick picks by situation

  • Widest coverage per dollar: SE Visible.
  • Up to $50 a month: Otterly.AI Lite or the $50 Ahrefs pack.
  • Tracking plus content work: Writesonic.
  • Claude, DeepSeek or hourly checks: Rankscale Pro.

What LLM tracking tools measure, and where the data comes from

Most tools report the same few numbers, each defined slightly differently.

  • Mentions and citations: how often an answer names your brand, and how often it links to your pages.
  • Share of voice: your share of those mentions against competitors.
  • Visibility score: usually the share of tracked prompts that name you. Profound’s example is 40 of 100 answers, or 40%.
  • Position and sentiment: where you appear in the answer, and in what tone.

The data arrives in three ways, and they don’t give the same numbers.

  • Interface checks: Writesonic, SE Visible, Peec and Profound read answers as a user sees them. Writesonic’s line is “We crawl the web interface like a buyer would.”
  • API calls: Evertune queries the base model “before any live search influences the response”. Rankscale and Scrunch mix APIs with interface checks.
  • Prebuilt prompt sets: Ahrefs runs 462M+ prompts built from its keyword data, and Semrush builds synthetic prompts for your domain and refreshes that report weekly. Fast, but Ahrefs warns of thin coverage for brands with little search volume.

The 13 AI search monitoring tools, one by one

Same order and criteria as the table above, with what each plan tracks, costs and hides.

1. SE Visible: best overall value

SE Ranking launched this separate GEO platform in 2025. It reads answers through a browser, not an API, and refreshes them daily.

  • Tracks: Google’s AI Mode and AI Overviews, Gemini, Perplexity and ChatGPT; Claude is promised soon.
  • Price: Basic $99, or $79 a month billed yearly, for 200 prompts and about 30,000 answers a month; Core $189; Plus $355.
  • Trial: 10 days free.
  • Best for: brands that want all five big surfaces without enterprise pricing.
  • Watch out: 7 countries, 5 languages, no white-label; local tracking and a dedicated brand-sentiment module are still “coming soon”.

Want SEO tools on the same bill? SE Ranking Core ($129, or $103.20 a month yearly) includes 100 AI prompts a day on four engines (ChatGPT, Gemini, AI Mode and AI Overviews), with a 14-day trial without a card; payments are non-refundable.

2. Otterly.AI: best budget pick

Otterly.AI launched in October 2024 and is run by Austria’s OtterlyAI GmbH. It is the low-cost route to daily checks.

  • Tracks: ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot. On Lite, AI Mode and Gemini add $9 a month each, Claude $29.
  • Price: Lite $29 ($25 a month yearly) for 15 prompts; Standard $189 for 100; Premium $489 for 400.
  • Trial: no card needed; the FAQ says 7 days, the sign-up button 14.
  • Best for: solo marketers testing whether AI answers mention them at all.
  • Watch out: Lite can’t buy extra prompts, and the terms are download-only, so we didn’t read the refund rules.

3. Writesonic: tracking plus content fixes

Writesonic now sells itself as a GEO platform, with tracking, AI articles and site audits in one plan. Our Writesonic review has the details.

  • Tracks: ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews below Enterprise; Perplexity, Claude, Copilot, Grok and AI Mode need Enterprise on brand plans.
  • Price: Starter $99 billed monthly or $79 a month billed yearly, for 50 prompts, 50 answers a day and 15 articles a month; Basic $249 and Growth $499 monthly, Growth adding sentiment. Monthly figures come from Writesonic’s affiliate page.
  • Trial: 7 days, no card. A first self-serve payment is refundable if you email within 7 days.
  • Best for: small teams that want to act on the data with content.
  • Watch out: plans auto-renew. Trustpilot shows 4.6 from 5,764 reviews, but two September 2026 reviews complain of a double charge and an unanswered cancellation request.

4. Rankscale: most engines, pay per check

Rankscale, a Vienna company registered in July 2025, sells credits rather than fixed prompt lists, across 17+ engines.

  • Tracks: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, AI Mode and DeepSeek as standard engines; 12 more include AI Overviews and Copilot (interface) and API models such as Perplexity Sonar, GPT-5 and Mistral.
  • Price: Essentials $17 a month, billed yearly only; Pro $99 for 1,200 credits (up to 4,800 answers); Growth $385.
  • Trial: 7 days on Pro.
  • Best for: agencies that want Claude, DeepSeek or hourly checks.
  • Watch out: Claude costs 2 credits a check against 0.25 on most engines. Essentials lacks sentiment, exports and team seats, and prepaid fees aren’t refunded.

5. Ahrefs Brand Radar: best for market research

Brand Radar combines a ready index of 462M+ prompts, built from Ahrefs’ keyword data, with custom prompts you write.

  • Tracks: AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Copilot; custom prompts add Claude.
  • Price: custom prompts from $50 for 2,500 checks, about 80 prompts a day on one platform; the index from $199 for one platform, $699 for all six.
  • Trial: none, and Ahrefs “does not issue refunds in general”.
  • Best for: market-wide share of voice against competitors, with answers back to 2025.
  • Watch out: pay-as-you-go overage bills automatically at $0.010 to $0.020 a check, and one Claude update uses 8 checks.

6. Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit: for existing Semrush users

Semrush sells AI tracking as a $99 toolkit or inside Semrush One, which starts at $199 with 50 prompts.

  • Tracks: AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini in a weekly domain report; the 25 daily prompts run on “platforms like Google AI Mode and ChatGPT”.
  • Price: $99 for 1 domain and 25 tracked prompts. Another 50 prompts cost $60; each extra domain or user costs $99.
  • Trial: none, and monthly plans aren’t refundable.
  • Best for: teams already working in Semrush every day.
  • Watch out: “Each user must have their own AI Visibility Toolkit subscription”. The domain report runs on synthetic prompts. Trustpilot: 1.7 from 1,411 reviews.

7. AmICited: credit-based, priced in euros

AmICited is a FlowHunt spin-off from AiMingle (Prague) and Quality Unit, the makers of LiveAgent and PostAffiliatePro. It targets e-commerce and SaaS.

  • Tracks: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, AI Overviews and AI Mode; Copilot from Pro; Claude, Grok and DeepSeek from Premium.
  • Price: Starter €50 before VAT for up to 3,000 answers, 1 domain and 200 prompts; Pro €120; Premium €500.
  • Trial: 7 days, card required.
  • Best for: European e-commerce and SaaS brands on a budget.
  • Watch out: unused credits don’t roll over, fees aren’t refunded, and trial sign-ups may pass a hashed email to Google and Meta.

8. Peec AI: unlimited seats for teams

Peec AI, a Berlin company, tracks visibility, position, sentiment and share of voice daily, scraping answers as a logged-out user sees them.

  • Tracks: any 3 of ChatGPT, AI Mode, AI Overviews, Copilot, Gemini and Naver AI on Starter. Perplexity is a paid add-on.
  • Price: from €85 a month (about $100); the tiers cost €85, €205 and €425 as shown on 7 October 2026. Starter has 50 prompts and unlimited users.
  • Trial: yes, length not stated.
  • Best for: teams and agencies that need many seats.
  • Watch out: Peec may “publicly refer to the Customer as a client” unless you object in writing.

9. AthenaHQ: a free tier to start

AthenaHQ, from Y Combinator’s Winter 2025 batch, is one of two tools here with a free plan; Semrush has the other.

  • Tracks: ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews, Gemini and Copilot for free. Starter covers 11 models, adding AI Mode and Claude.
  • Price: the free tier carries $25 of credit (300 AI responses); Starter is $295 for 3,600; yearly billing takes 17% off.
  • Best for: a free first look, then full coverage.
  • Watch out: API access and extra credits cost more, payments aren’t refunded, and Starter’s “$300/month free credit” label is unexplained.

10. Scrunch: yearly plans, AXP on Enterprise

Scrunch, a Sitecore company since June 2026, pairs monitoring with AXP (Enterprise plan), a version of your pages served only to AI retrieval bots.

  • Tracks: ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews and Copilot on Core. Enterprise adds Gemini, Claude, AI Mode, Grok and Meta AI.
  • Price: Core $250 a month, billed yearly at $3,000, for 125 prompts, 5,000 responses a month and 1 country.
  • Trial: 7 days with a card; users “will automatically be upgraded to a paid subscription” unless they cancel.
  • Best for: brands ready to commit for a year.
  • Watch out: after a prompt’s first 14 days, answers refresh every 72 hours by default.

11. Profound: enterprise only for brands

Profound raised a $180M Series D at a $1.8B valuation in September 2026. It captures answers from the browser and now also sells an “AI Marketer” agent.

  • Tracks: ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews on the trial; up to 9 engines on Enterprise.
  • Price: a free trial or a custom Enterprise quote, with no self-serve paid plan for brands.
  • Trial: 50 prompts a day for 7 days, picked by Profound for your industry, with no history or exports.
  • Best for: large brands that need SOC 2 Type II and SSO.

12. Goodie: monitoring plus optimization work

Goodie, introduced in January 2025 by the founder of New York agency NoGood, pairs tracking with optimization work. Its pricing page says “No plan at $99”.

  • Tracks: ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Perplexity, AI Mode and Copilot on Core; 8 models on Pro.
  • Price: Core $399 for 120 prompts, 50 optimizations a month and 5 seats; Pro $999.
  • Trial: 7 days on the self-serve Core plan.
  • Best for: brands that want help with fixes, not only reports.
  • Watch out: the page offers monthly, quarterly and yearly billing, and we couldn’t confirm which one the $399 assumes.

13. Evertune: statistics for big brands

Evertune, founded in 2024 by early The Trade Desk staff, asks each prompt 100 times per model to cut the margin of error to about one point.

  • Tracks: 11 models, including ChatGPT Search, Gemini, AI Mode, AI Overviews, Claude, Copilot, Perplexity and DeepSeek.
  • Price: Pro is $800 a month through a demo, for 100,000 prompts and 25 AI-optimized articles a month.
  • Best for: mid-market and enterprise brands; clients include Canada Goose, Roku and WPP.
  • Watch out: there is no self-serve sign-up.

Platform coverage: the gaps behind the logos

Homepages list every big AI platform; entry plans often cover fewer.

ChatGPT rank tracker: all 13 include it

Every tool here tracks ChatGPT on its entry plan or trial. Among monthly plans, Otterly Lite at $29 is the cheapest daily option and adds Perplexity, AI Overviews and Copilot.

Perplexity rank tracker: missing from three entry plans

Writesonic’s brand plans add Perplexity only on Enterprise, Peec sells it as an add-on, and Profound’s trial leaves it out. Rankscale lists Perplexity as a standard engine and also sells Perplexity’s Sonar API models as extra engines.

AI Mode rank tracker: check the plan, not the logo

Among the five main surfaces, AI Mode is the most common gap: Enterprise-only on Writesonic’s brand plans and at Scrunch, a $9 add-on on Otterly Lite, and missing from Profound’s trial and AthenaHQ’s free tier.

Claude is rarer still. It is included on Ahrefs custom prompts (8 checks per update), Rankscale (2 credits a check), AthenaHQ Starter and Evertune; it costs $29 a month extra on Otterly Lite and needs Premium (€500) on AmICited. Writesonic, Scrunch, Profound and Peec keep it for Enterprise, and SE Visible promises it “soon”.

The table shows the cheapest published plan that covers all five (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and both Google AI features), checked 7 October 2026.

How to see your AI visibility for free

Free AI brand visibility checkers and tiers

  • SE Ranking’s free AI visibility checker: 5 checks a day, with up to five competitors.
  • Semrush’s free plan: AI mentions, citations and a visibility score, plus an AI-readiness audit of 100 pages.
  • Ahrefs’ free AI visibility preview on its Brand Radar page.
  • AthenaHQ’s free tier and Profound’s 7-day trial, both described above.

What Bing and Google show you

Bing Webmaster Tools added an AI Performance report in February 2026 as a public preview. It counts citations of your pages in Copilot and Bing’s AI summaries, lists the cited pages and shows a sample of “grounding queries”, but not your position inside an answer. Google Search Console counts AI Overviews and AI Mode traffic inside the normal Performance report, under “Web”, without separating it.

A manual prompt log

Write 15 to 25 questions buyers ask before choosing a product like yours; Otterly’s cheapest plan tracks 15 and Semrush’s toolkit 25. Ask them in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and AI Mode on the same weekday, and log whether you are named, linked or missing. Expect movement: the same question can get a different answer on each run.

How to increase AI visibility: what Google and Bing say

No tool can guarantee a mention. Google’s guidance is short: “There are no additional requirements to appear in AI Overviews or AI Mode”. Bing is more specific: “Clear headings, tables, and FAQ sections help surface key information”, along with evidence and fresh pages.

Use the tracker to pick targets: prompts where competitors are named and you aren’t, and the sources the AI cites for them. Profound’s own test concluded that which prompts you track “matters more than how often you run them”.

Some platforms sell the fixes too: an Action Center trial on Writesonic Growth (5 off-page and 5 on-page actions a month) and 50 optimizations a month on Goodie Core. Scrunch’s Enterprise plan adds AXP, which Scrunch says isn’t cloaking because Googlebot and Bingbot still see the normal site.

Best AI visibility tools for agencies

Agency plans differ on pitch workspaces, per-client pricing and white-label reports.

  • Writesonic Agency Starter: $200 a month with the page’s default annual setting, for 20 pitch projects and 2,000 answers a month on every model except Claude; client projects from $150 a month each.
  • Goodie Agency Growth: $275 a month, billed quarterly or yearly, for 10 pitch workspaces a month; client workspaces from $399 a month.
  • Profound Agency Growth: 400 credits a month per client workspace. Its November 2025 post lists $399 per extra client; the base price didn’t load for us.
  • Scrunch Agency Core: $500 a month.
  • Rankscale Growth: $385 a month, with white-label share links via the API and an agency directory listing.
  • Otterly agency partners: 150 prompts on Standard and 500 on Premium.
  • Peec: unlimited users and prompts shared across projects.

How we compared, and what we could not check

We read each vendor’s pricing page, plan limits, trial terms and refund terms on 7 October 2026. We did not open accounts or run these trackers, so there are no in-app screenshots or answer-quality scores (see our review method).

Not confirmed yet: Profound’s agency base price, the billing period behind Goodie’s $399, Otterly’s trial length and refund terms, Scrunch’s monthly option, AthenaHQ’s credit label, Peec’s add-on prices and Rankscale Essentials’ credits.

Trustpilot on 7 October 2026: Writesonic 4.6 (5,764 reviews), SE Ranking 4.2 (712), Ahrefs 2.2 (323), Semrush 1.7 (1,411). The newer tools had one review or none.

Money: Writesonic pays us commissions, and SE Ranking and Rankscale run open affiliate programs, so their links may pay us too. Other vendors don’t. See our editorial and affiliate policy.

FAQ

Are AI visibility tools accurate?

Treat them as trend lines: AI models often answer the same question differently, so every number is a sample. Profound ran 753 prompts on 7 platforms for two weeks; one run a day landed within about 2 percentage points of ten runs for visibility. Evertune instead repeats each prompt 100 times.

Do I need a separate tool if I already pay for Semrush or Ahrefs?

Maybe not. Every Semrush plan, the free one included, tracks AI Overviews; ChatGPT and AI Mode need the $99 toolkit or Semrush One. Ahrefs plans from Lite up include a small custom-prompt quota: 150 checks a month on Lite, 300 on Standard and 600 on Advanced, or 5, 10 and 20 prompts a day on one platform. Use what you already pay for before adding another subscription.

Are GEO tools the same as AI visibility trackers?

Not quite. GEO (generative engine optimization) and AEO (answer engine optimization) mean the work of getting cited in AI answers; a tracker measures the result. Writesonic, Goodie and Scrunch sell tracking and fixes, while Otterly, SE Visible and the Semrush toolkit mainly measure.

Which tools have a free trial without a credit card?

On 7 October 2026: Writesonic for 7 days, SE Ranking for 14, and Otterly.AI, whose site says both 7 and 14. Scrunch and AmICited ask for a card, and Scrunch moves you to a paid plan when the trial ends. The Semrush toolkit and Ahrefs Brand Radar have no trial.

Can I get a refund if a tracker doesn’t work for me?

Rarely. Writesonic refunds a first self-serve payment if you email within 7 days. Semrush refunds no monthly plans, only a first yearly plan within 7 days. Ahrefs doesn’t refund in general, and SE Ranking, Rankscale, AthenaHQ and AmICited call their fees non-refundable. Use the trials first.

How often do these tools re-check answers?

Most check tracked prompts daily, including SE Visible, Peec, Otterly, Writesonic and Goodie. Semrush’s domain report is weekly, Scrunch slows to every 72 hours after a prompt’s first 14 days, Ahrefs re-tests its index monthly, and Rankscale runs anything from hourly to monthly.
